Challenge

Our first look at the plans and specifications for this project revealed an ultra-clean design, that was sure to be a wind-load calculation bust. Revising the structural design of the glazing system, while maintaining the aesthetic desires of this Omner/Architect/Developer/Contractor was a challenge (to say the least).

Solution

DIvsion 8 was able to prove by calculation that the original design would not pass muster with the local building officials. We then set-out to assist with the design of a framing system which would provide minimal sightlines, while mainaining the structural integrity required for high-ride construction.
